The Human Cell Atlas is a vibrant and diverse scientific community whose mission is to create comprehensive reference maps of all human cells - the fundamental units of life - as a basis for both understanding human health and diagnosing, monitoring, and treating disease.
HCA membership is open to the entire scientific community worldwide, over the age of 16.

Members of the HCA receive the HCA newsletter, which helps to keep everyone informed of HCA activities, events and opportunities. In addition, Collaborating Members (HCA members who also participate in an HCA project or serve as a member of an HCA group) are eligible for various technology discounts negotiated by the HCA.
