The HCA Asia Regional Network was launched in 2017, with the first HCA Asia diversity meeting held in Okinawa, Japan, 30 November to 1 December, 2017. This meeting brought distinguished scientists from India, Japan, South Korea and Singapore together to discuss approaches and opportunities to participate in the global HCA initiative.
Flagship HCA projects within Asia include the Asian Immune Diversity Atlas (AIDA) which is generating datasets from major Asian population groups to define an atlas of Asian cell types and states, and deepen understanding of the drivers of health and disease.
