The Human Cell Atlas is a vibrant and diverse scientific community whose mission is to create comprehensive reference maps of all human cells - the fundamental units of life - as a basis for both understanding human health and diagnosing, monitoring, and treating disease. HCA membership is open to the entire scientific community worldwide. Please register your interest in HCA membership here.
Membership Details: Any individual may become an HCA Member by registering and agreeing to abide by the ethical standards and principles of the HCA, described in the HCA white paper and below. An HCA member who additionally participates in an HCA project or serves as a member of an HCA group (as defined by the HCA Organizing Committee) will be designated as an HCA Collaborating Member.
Any scientific project related to systematic biological characterization of human tissues at single-cell resolution may become an HCA Project through registration of the project by a participating researcher in the HCA Project Registry. The Organizing Committee will review registered projects and assign them to one of three categories: HCA Participating Project, HCA Network Project, or HCA Flagship Project.
