Human Cell Atlas Asia (HCA Asia) was formed in 2017 to create a coordinated platform for researchers based in Asia to collaborate, share data and plan future initiatives for the HCA. Our goals and framework are broadly aligned with those of the global HCA community. We aim to create comprehensive reference maps of all human cells in Asia as a basis for both understanding human health, as well as diagnosing, monitoring, and treating disease.

This year, the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) is delighted to organise the third annual HCA Asia Meeting, which takes place from 10 11 November 2019 at Matrix, Biopolis, Singapore. During this meeting, we will address scientific and logistical issues in working across national boundaries to contribute to the HCA Data Coordination Platform. We will also formally incorporate the Equity and Ethics goals of the HCA. The meeting comprises both scientific seminars and workshop style discussions on HCA Asia collaborative programmes and funding mechanisms.
